Natural paving stone has been used to provide the client’s guest room with an easy-care, morning sun patio.

• The small area was maximised by minor excavations and then building a low retaining wall.
• Privacy from the road has been established using a free standing timber screen.
• Square paving bridges the entrance terrace and the newly laid natural paving stone.
• The use of drought tolerant plants, weed-mat and a pea-metal mulch keep the planting easy to maintain.
